10 tips for relaxation

Relaxing your mind & body are fantastic ways to relieve stress and essential for well-being.

  1. Take deep diaphragmatic inhales, allowing the exhale to be slow and gentle.

  2. Soak in a warm bath. Use essential oils like lavender to enhance the calming effects.

  3. Listen to soothing music.

  4. Go for a mindful walk. Pay attention to the sights and sounds, focus your attention on things that are happening right now in the present moment.

  5. Practice meditation. Use one of the many meditation apps available.

  6. Write. Expressing your feelings down on paper is one way to "let go" rather than keep emotions bottled up.

  7. Gratitude Journal, write about 3 things that you are grateful for that happened during the day.

  8. Guided Imagery, imagine sitting in your favorite place or setting that you feel calm and at peace in. Use audios or scripts to help you.

  9. Yoga or some other activity that you enjoy and find relaxing.

  10. Use progressive muscle relaxation techniques to help relieve body tension.
